Alibris' Return Policy

You qualify for a refund of an Alibris purchase if you make the return within 60 days of the purchase, and you are returning the item because it was damaged or defective, because it was not as described, or because it was not the item you ordered. You may in some circumstances qualify for a refund if you simply changed your mind about the purchase. That, however, depends on the individual seller and is not up to Alibris. You may be directed to contact the seller to try to work out a return and refund between the two of you if that is the reason for your return. When it comes to rentals, you must make the return within 21 days of the rental date to qualify for a refund.

Returning an Item to Alibris

To make your return, follow this procedure:

  1. Go to the Alibris website.
  2. Log in to your account.
  3. Go to Order History.
  4. Locate the order number for the item you want to return.
  5. Click on the order number. You will be taken to the Order Detail page.
  6. Click on the Return This Item link.
  7. Fill out the item return form.
  8. Click on the Submit button.
  9. Print out the return label and the authorization page.
  10. Repackage the item in its original packaging.
  11. Put the authorization page in the package.
  12. Seal it up and attach the return label.
  13. Mail the package.

You should receive your refund within two or three weeks of the receipt of your package. It will be made in the same form of payment you used to make the purchase.
