As one of the oldest card providers, American Express has various offerings. They have different types of cards, including a co-branded Walmart Serve card. This card helps you to enjoy cashback at Walmart stores. You also enjoy other perks, such as free ATM withdrawals at in-network locations and no credit check to qualify. But before you use the card, you need to activate it. Here is a quick guide.

Use Your Phone

The quickest and easiest way to activate your Serve card is by using your phone. To do this, you will need to have the physical card with you as you will be required to input some information.

To begin, call the number on the back of your Serve card. You will be required to input your card number and then follow the prompts to verify your identity. After this, they will activate your card, and you can start using it.

Use the Website

If you do not want to use your phone or you do not have it with you, you can activate your Serve card online.

  1. You will need to go to the American Express website and log in to your account.

  2. Once logged in, click on the "My Accounts" tab and select "Activate a Card."

  3. From here, you will be able to input your card number and the security code.

  4. After this, follow the prompts to verify your identity and activate your card.

Visit a Walmart Store

If you would rather activate your Serve card in person, you can do so at a Walmart store. Simply take your card to the customer service desk and ask them to help you activate it.

They will need your card number and the security code. After this, they will be able to verify your identity and activate your card.
