How Can I Get Back My Lost Blogger.com Blog?

If you had a blog with Blogger.com and have lost access to it, you may be able to recover your access. There is a recovery wizard you can use. You can also recover the blog if you deleted it, as long as you do so within three months. You cannot recover the blog if you removed yourself as admin, though.

If you have a blog on Blogger.com and haven't updated it in a long time, you may have forgotten the information you need to access it. To learn how to recover access to it, follow the instruction below.

Use Account Recovery

If you don't remember the login information for your blog, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to Blogger.com.

  3. Enter the blog's URL. Blogger.com will send you a recovery email using the email address you used to create the blog.
  4. Check the email you used to create the blog. It may take a few minutes to arrive. If it has not arrived after 30 minutes, check your Spam folder.
  5. Click on the link in the recovery email.
  6. Follow any instruction you are given.

If You Can't Access Your Google Account

If you can't even access the Google account you used to create the blog, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to the Google account log in page.
  2. Click on Forgot Email.
  3. Choose to use your phone or another email to receive a verification code.
  4. After you receive the code, enter it in the space provided. You will be shown a list of accounts associated with that phone number or email address.
  5. Once you have revered your Google account, follow the instructions given above to recover the blog.

If You Removed Yourself as Blog Admin

If you removed yourself as the blog admin, there is nothing you can do to regain access to the blog.
