If the airline canceled your flight, you are inline for compensation or for a refund. You should know that if the airlines cancelled your flight they will immediately rebook you on the next possible flight. If you cannot fly then they will refund you the entire amount of the ticket, including the taxes. If your cancelled flight affects a connecting flight, then they will refund you for the cancelled flight and rebook your other flight.
