Sending an ACH Payment From Your Capital One Account

With other types of services, Capital One allows customers to set up ACH payments online or through the mobile app.

Sending an ACH Payment Online

To send an ACH payment online, do the following:

  1. From your browser, open the Capital One website and log into your account.
  2. Go to your 360 checking account and select "bill pay" to set up an ACH transfer.
  3. Find the vendor's name in your payee list and click that vendor.
  4. Enter the information needed to set up recurring payments to the vendor from your Capital One account, including due date, how often payments are made (weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually) and how long these payments will be made (no end date or at a set end date).
  5. Confirm you wish to set up the ACH transfers and save the information.
  6. Make sure you check your account when the next payment is due to ensure it was processed correctly.

Establishing ACH Through the Mobile App

You can also use your mobile app account access to set up ACH transfers by doing the following:

  1. From your phone or tablet, open the Capital One website and log into your account.
  2. Go to your 360 checking account and tap "bill pay" to set up an ACH transfer.
  3. Locate the vendor's name in your payee list and tap that vendor.
  4. Add the information needed to set up recurring payments to the vendor from your Capital One account.
  5. Confirm and save.

It is important to double-check the ACH transfer for the first payment once you have set it up. Sometimes, there can be a delay between requesting the payment and the actual start of payments processing. Setting up ACH transfers helps you get your payments in on time each month and relieves stress. For more assistance or information, call Capital One customer support.
