ClassPass, a New York-based organization, offers several health and wellness classes that include yoga, pilates, barre, indoor cycling, and strength training to its clients. Consumers pay a monthly subscription fee to ClassPass billing service and can access a set amount of classes each month. ClassPass members have the chance to book for fitness classes from anywhere and enjoy flexible and dynamic pricing plans.

During the early part of their subscription with ClassPass, members tend to attend the wellness classes with heightened enthusiasm and are ready to assess the value they get for splurging their hard-earned cash into the lessons. After a while, the excitement peters out, and you may want to cancel your membership. Here's how you can cancel your membership and stop being charged going forward..

How to Cancel Your ClassPass Membership

Before making the absolute decision to cancel your ClassPass membership, you may want to consider switching to another cheaper plan. If you think that you're not getting the value for your money, then the ClassPass Lite plan is the best option. This membership plan provides an affordable subscription for consumers who partake in lessons infrequently due to different reasons.

Making the switch to ClassPass Lite not only buys you some time, and it allows you to avoid the need to cancel your monthly membership. This is essential because you'll have to incur a fee if you decide to reactivate your account.

If a switch to ClassPass Lite is not an option, you can decide to cancel the membership. The cancellation procedure is straight-forward, and you can do via the ClassPass app on your smart device.

All you need to do is to open the ClassPass app on your phone and log into your profile. Go to the account setting feature. This action leads to the "Membership" section where you'll click on the "Manage My Plan" button. Here, you have the option to switch to another plan or to cancel the membership.

However, you need to remember that once you cancel your membership, you waiver your claim for any balances in your membership account. That means the money will not be reimbursed to you. Additionally, you need to make the cancellation three days before the commencement of the next billing cycle. Failure to do so extends your subscription to the next month, and you'll have to incur the fee because ClassPass memberships are set on an auto-renewal basis.

How to Get a Refund

ClassPass recommends that members first contact the company's consumer service team when seeking a refund. ClassPass wishes to keep you for longer and might make changes to your plan to improve your consumer experience. If you choose to push on with the cancellation, ClassPass does not provide refunds, whether you have or haven't used your subscription. That means that you'll not be reimbursed for any amount of cash remaining in your account. That said, if you used your class credits sparingly, or if you never used the credits, no amount will be reimbursed to you.

Also, ClassPass specifies that any changes or updates you make to your account will appear in the following month's cycle. You can avoid any extra charges by making the changes at least 24 hours before the next billing cycle. Before canceling your subscription, think over the decision carefully because if you revert your stance, you'll have to pay a reactivation fee.

If you need to contact ClassPass customer help desk for whatever reason, or to initiate your membership cancellation, you can visit the "Contact Us" section on ClassPass website where you'll fill out a request form. Alternatively, you may decide to reach ClassPass representative through their front desk number or their email support team or on their social media accounts.
