Delta Airlines is an American airline with headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. The company was founded in 1929 and ranks as the world's second-largest airline carrier by the fleet size, the number of passengers carried, and revenue.
If you have booked a flight with Delta, you can check the status of your flight at any time.
You have two options here, to search by 'Route' or 'Flight Number.'
The default option is to search by 'Route.' If you choose this option, fill out the fields for: From City or Airport, To City or Airport, and Departure Date.
If you would prefer to search via flight number, select the downward-facing arrow next to 'Route' and select 'Flight Number.' Enter your flight number and your departure date.
Click on 'View Flight Status.'
You will be redirected to a new page with details on the status of your flight. If you are searching for a popular route, there may be several flights listed. Locate your flight by looking at the departure and arrival times, and the flight status will be displayed at the far right corner. Flight status options will include: flight complete, on time, delayed, and canceled.
If your flight isn't showing up on the flight status results, it's recommended you call the Delta Customer Service team for further assistance.
If you're having difficulties with the online flight status process, or prefer to speak to a person, you can call the Delta Customer Service team. Note that you will need to provide the same information as outlined in the online process (flight number, departure city, arrival city, and departure date).
When there are major weather issues or political circumstances that result in widespread cancellation of flights, Delta Airlines will make an announcement on Twitter. You can check to see if Delta is canceling flights by visiting their Twitter profile page.
When your flight is canceled or delayed, you will likely receive an email from Delta about the change. Check your inbox for the email address that you provided when making your flight booking. The email will include information about your new flight or the next steps that you should take.
