Delta: How do I get a refund for a flight that got rescheduled?

A simple 6 step guide for solving this common Delta problem quickly and effectively by GetHuman

Before you get started, be sure you have: Name on the ticket, Booking reference, Date of booking, Flight number, Billing address
You can either do this online, or by calling them on the phone. If you wish to call them on the phone, skip to the last step. You will need to know the name on the ticket and the flight confirmation number, and once you have that information, go to the refunds page to get started.
In the section marked "Contact Information" enter your First and Last Name, and your billing address
In "Ticket Information" enter your information.
Next enter your Flight Information in the section titled Flight Information.
When you get to the section for "Reason for Request" click Flight Cancellation from the drop down menu. Below that there is a box where you can enter the details of the issue. This is where you want to carefully describe the issue that you had with your flight, and that you would like a refund. You should know that it may take them a couple of weeks to resolve this issue for you. Agree to the terms and service and click Submit.
If you don't want to bother with this form, you can call Delta on the phone with this number. Let the rep know that Delta rescheduled your flight and that the new date and time don't work for you and you would like a refund. Let us know how it goes and if you would like our help!
