How Do I Return an Item to Dick's Sporting Goods from Their Black Friday Sale?

Dick's Sporting Goods holds a Black Friday sale every year with deep discounts on almost everything they offer. If you have a problem with something you purchased during this sale and need to return it, read on to learn how to make the return and whether your purchase is eligible for a refund.

Ineligible Items

You cannot return the following items:

Hunting Bows, Crossbows, Firearms, Ammunition, Gun Powder, Items that Require Gasoline or other Fuel, Airbeds, Custom Items, Special Order Items, Autographed Memorabilia, most Bikes, and Gift Cards.

You cannot return the following items if you have opened the package or broken the factory seal:

Face Coverings, Bats, Football Helmets, Electronic Scooters, Electronic Bikes, Portable Lavatories, Theragun Electronics, and Hyperice Electronics.

Dick's Refund and Return Requirements

Returns must be made within 90 days of Black Friday. If you made your purchase from Dick's Sporting Goods Warehouse, then you only have 7 days to make your return.

You need to bring your receipt with you, unless you ordered it online. In that case, you need to bring the packing slip that came with your order. If you did not keep the receipt or the packing slip then you need to bring a valid ID, such as a state ID, driver's license, military ID, or passport.

For gift card purchases, you will receive your choice of a gift card or exchange. If the Scorecard Reward or a coupon was used to make your Black Friday purchase, it will be deducted from your refund.

Making the Return by Mail

To return an online purchase by mail:

• Log in to your account from the Dick's Sporting Goods home page..
• Click on Mail-In Return next to the purchase you want returned.
• Enter your zip code and confirmation code.
• Print out the shipping label.
• Box up the item you are returning and attach the shipping label.
• Mail the package.

Once your return is processed, the method of payment you used in your purchase will be refunded minus the shipping fees.

Returning an Online Purchase in Person

• Log in to your account from the Dick's Sporting Goods home page..
• Click on Mail-In Return next to the item you want returned.
• Enter your zip code and confirmation code. You will be sent a bar code to use as proof of purchase. You can also use your confirmation email for the same purpose.

Making the Return in Person

Bring the receipt, confirmation bar code, or confirmation email along with the item you want returned to the nearest Dick's Sporting Goods Store. If you no longer have the receipt, contact Dick's Sporting Goods' customer service to see if they can find a copy of the receipt to send to you. You will need to bring a valid ID with you if you want to make a return without a receipt, and you will only qualify for store credit instead of a monetary refund.

Dick's Sporting Goods can deny any refund or exchange, regardless of the reason or whether you have the receipt.
