What do I do if I’m blocked from my Facebook profile (and I have a government issued ID)?

A simple 7 step guide for solving this common Facebook problem quickly and effectively by GetHuman

1
There are a lot of reasons that you may be blocked from your account, but the most common is that Facebook thinks there may be suspicious activity on your account. There's no reason to be alarmed, it's just that something triggered something on Facebook's end and they temporarily disabled the account and blocked your access to it. We can help you get it back, but first you should find a government issued ID. I license or passport will work great for this.
2
Once you have your ID, you will need to either scan it to your computer, or take a picture of it so you can upload it to Facebook. Go ahead and scan or take that picture now.
3
Once you have the scan, cover the confidential information like license numbers or passport numbers . You can either place dark tape of them before you scan, or scan the document and then use a photo editing tool to block them out.
4
Make sure the picture is clear so that your name, birthday and photo are clear.
5
Click here to go to the page to upload the scan, by clicking "Upload" and select the file from where you saved it.
6
Press Submit and you will hear back from them in 24-72 hours.
7
When you do hear back, (Facebook will email), they will ask you to confirm your ID. Make sure to reply to the email and register your email account to that profile. In the case your account is not disabled and you need help reseting your password, you can do so at this link My account is not disabled.
