What do I do if my Facebook account was hacked?
A simple 8 step guide for solving this common Facebook problem quickly and effectively by GetHuman
If your Facebook account has been hacked, we can help you get it back. Facebook will need to confirm your identity and you will need to provide a government issued ID that shows your name, birthday and a photo that matches your profile. A license or passport scan will work great. Even if you don't have a license or passport, you can still recover your hacked account if you submit two different forms of identification that have your name and photo that matches your profile. You will need to scan your ID and upload it to your computer but before you upload it, make sure to cover any confidential information.
Use a scanner to upload the file to your computer or use a camera to take a picture or use a photo scanner to scan the pictures onto your computer.
Cover the confidential information like license numbers or passport numbers on your ID
Scan the ID onto your computer using a scanner or camera.
Once it scans, double check that the picture is clear so that your name, birthday and photo are clear.
You can upload the ID at this link, just
