Huawei: Why doesn't my Wi-fi work?

A simple 9 step guide for solving this common Huawei problem quickly and effectively by GetHuman

Check the wireless connection on other wireless devices. If one device won't connect to the gateway while others do: On the device that won't connect make sure Wi-Fi is turned on and your password is correct.
Try resetting the device.
Try changing the Security Mode from WEP to WPA2-PSK. If that doesn't work, choose No Security to disable security settings completely.
If no wireless devices connect, try entering your network name again:
Go to from your home computer
Log in.
Click Network Setting (from the left-hand menu) > Wireless > General.
Re-enter your Wireless Network Name or SSID.
Click Apply.
