Hyatt doesn't actually have a single, consistent refund policy. Individual Hyatt hotels set their own policies, which can vary even within the same hotel, depending on the rate you paid. However, many, if not most, of them allow no-fee refunds if the cancellation or change is made more than 24 or 48 hours before check-in time.

To find out your reservation's refund policy, look in your confirmation email. All the terms of your reservation, including the refund policy, should be spelled out in it. If you no longer have access to that email, then you need to contact a Hyatt customer service representative for help.

How to Get a Refund From Hyatt

If your reservation's refund policy allows you to get a refund when you change or cancel your reservation, all, you need to do to get it is make the change or cancellation. To do that, follow these instructions on Hyatt's Find Your Reservation page:

  1. Enter your first and last names in the text fields provided.
  2. Enter your reservation confirmation number. You can find it in your confirmation email.
  3. Select your check-in date from the date tool.
  4. Click on the Find Reservation button.
  5. Select the option to modify your reservation.
  6. Follow the prompts.

Some reservations cannot be displayed with this tool. If that happens to you, then you need to contact a Hyatt customer service representative for help changing or modifying your reservation.
