How do I file a lost baggage claim or follow up on my claim with JetBlue?
A simple 4 step guide for solving this common JetBlue problem quickly and effectively by GetHuman
Name on the account, Claim number, Booking reference
If you are at the airport still, it's best to file a lost baggage claim with a flight attendant at the terminal. Just take your baggage claim ticket to the JetBlue rep and they will file a claim for you and they will deliver the baggage to you once they find it.
If it has been more than 4 hours or if you already left the airport, then you will need to contact the JetBlue terminal at the airport that you landed in. They will then be able to file a claim, and even look to see if your baggage has been turned into the lost luggage department. If you want to look for the contact information for the airport that your flight landed in open this link and select your arrival city.
If you already have a claim number from the agent, and you wish to check on the status of it, there are two ways to do so. The first is by using their online tracking system. Open this link and enter your name and incident number. Then enter the CAPTCHA and login to see your claim.
If you don't have your claim number or if you want to get a more concrete answer than the answer that you see on the screen, you can reach central baggage service by calling 866-538-5438 for an update. Best of luck and I hope this is helpful!
