Macy's Return Policy

If you are not satisfied with a purchase, you made at Macy's, you can return it within 90 days (depending on the item) for free, either at a land store or by mail. While you will get a full refund for returned items, fees for shipping and delivery are non-refundable. Keep in mind that all returns must be in the original packaging, and in saleable condition, with the original tags.

Holiday Extended Return Policy

Macy's has extended its time frame for returns of purchases made from now until December 31, 2020. These items can be returned by January 31, 2020, or the final date under normal policy rules, whichever is later. There are some exceptions to these terms. The following items apply to normal policy standards, as they are excluded from this policy extension.

How You Will Get Your Refund

Proof of Purchase

To get a refund, you will need the original receipt, the packing slip or return label, or the card used to make the purchase. Your refund will be issued back to the payment method used.

Gift Items

All returns with a return label, a gift receipt, or a bridal registry number will only be able to get store credit back.

Refunds Without Proof of Purchase

Without a receipt or another form of proof of purchase, you may get store credit back. However, you will get the lowest sales price of the item within the past 180 days.

Store credit

Your store credit may be in the form of a Merchandise Certificate that you can make in-store purchases with or an EZ Exchange Card that is like a Macy's gift card, which you can make purchases with both in-store or online.
Your account will credit in 3 to 5 business days after receiving your return. But it can take up to ten days to show up on your payment method card.
