Nike is a huge international brand that was founded in 1964 by Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight. However, being a large, established company doesn't make the brand and its employees perfect. If you recently had a negative experience with a Nike employee, or have a complaint about a Nike product, you can reach out to the company to let them know. Keep reading for several options on step-by-step instructions on how to make a complaint to Nike.
If your complaint is regarding a specific store, it may be most efficient to contact the store directly and speak to the store manager. You can find the Nike stores in your area here.
If your complaint is about the store manager, or the store manager didn't respond sufficiently to your complaint, you can follow the steps outlined below to reach out to Nike Headquarters.
You can email the Nike Support Team about your complaint. Go to https://www.nike.com/us/help/.
Click on 'Products & Orders.' (Even if your complaint isn't about a product or order, these are the steps you have to take to be connected with a Nike Customer Service Representative over live chat.)
A new window will appear. You will need to provide your full name and email address.
You will be asked if you are contacting Nike about an order that has already been placed. Select 'Yes' or 'No.'
You will be contacted with a customer service representative and can file your complaint.
Note that the live chat function is available seven days a week between 4:00 am - 11:00 pm PT.
For all questions and assistance related to corporate matters, including general feedback for Nike, you can call the Nike Customer Service Team. The team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Many people choose to voice their complaints on social media. Nike doesn't include a message function on their Facebook profile, so complaints can only be made on Twitter. If you have a Twitter account, you can reach out to Nike via Twitter.
Go to www.twitter.com/Nike
If you're not already logged into your account, you will have to sign in. In the top right corner of the page, click 'Log In.' You can sign in with your phone number, email address, or username, along with your password.
Select 'Tweet to Nike.' You can then compose a tweet that will explain your complaint. Note that if you choose this option, this will be a public message, and everyone will see the tweet.
If you prefer a private conversation, you can send them a direct message. At the top of your Twitter account, select 'Messages.'
Select 'New Message' in the top right corner.
In the 'Send message to:' type in '@Nike.com' and select 'Next.'
Type in your message and click 'Send.'
Note that it's not guaranteed that Nike will respond to you if you choose to reach out to them via Twitter.
When filing complaints, it is best to keep your points simple and clear, if you wish to be taken seriously. It's generally recommended that you avoid using profanities, give clear examples, and provide proof (such as pictures or files validating your claims) if you have them. Additionally, if you are looking for a resolution from Nike, such as a refund or a new product sent to you, make that request clear as well. This will increase the chances of you receiving what you're looking for by filing this complaint.
