1. You lost your job or had your hours reduced due to no fault of your own.
2. You earned enough income during the base period.
3. You are willing and able to look for work.
4. You apply in the same week you became unemployed or underemployed.

What Information You Need
1. Your social security number, driver's license number, and contact information such as your mailing and email addresses and phone numbers.
2. Name, address and start and end dates for your last employer. An 18-month employment history is required only if you worked out of state.
3. You need your DD-214 Member 4 if you were a part of the military anytime during the last 18 months.
4. Those who were government employees need either their SF-8 or SF-50 for the same time period, 18 months.
5. Those who are not U.S. citizens need their alien registration and document numbers and expiration date.
6. You will also need your bank account information if you want to set up direct deposit, otherwise your benefits will be deposited onto a Way2Go Prepaid debit card.
7. Please keep in mind that the OESC will try to reach you by mail, email and phone. Failure to respond could cause your benefits to be denied. If you change your address, you need to contact OESC directly since the post office does not forward government mail.

File by Phone or Online
1. If you file by phone, can only call them here Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. You can also file your weekly payments by phone or online as well.
2. To file online, go to https://unemployment.state.ok.us/ and register for a new account if you don't have one. Those who already have an account will need to log in and reopen a claim. Follow the online prompts to begin your claim. You can also call their customer service team here if you need help.
