Digital Delivery Method

You can send someone a gift card from REI via email by following the steps listed below.

  1. Open REI's website in your browser.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and select "Gift Cards" under the "Gifts" category.
  3. Select "E-gift cards" to send a digital card.
  4. Choose the design you want on the card.
  5. Enter the recipient's name followed by your name.
  6. Type in the amount.
  7. Add the recipient's email and re-enter the email address to confirm.
  8. Set delivery date.
  9. Include a message if you want to add one.
  10. Click "Add to cart."
  11. Select "Proceed to Checkout."
  12. Log into your account if you have one, or select "Check Out as Guest."
  13. Enter membership number if you have one or select "Continue Without Membership."
  14. Key in your contact information and billing address.
  15. Add payment details or checkout using PayPal.
  16. Submit order to complete the purchase. The digital card will be emailed to the recipient within minutes of the purchase completion.

Regular Mail Delivery

REI gift cards can also be purchased online and mailed to the recipient as a classic (plastic) gift card. To use this method, follow these steps:
