RockAuto makes it convenient to order car parts and receive them in the mail. However, from time to time it's possible to order the wrong car part or a part that you don't need. As a result, RockAuto has a return policy that allows you to return car parts by following a few simple steps.
RockAuto gives you six months from the purchase date to return car parts and cores. This must be done within the six month period to receive a refund. Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs unless otherwise stated in the catalog or return instructions. However, RockAuto does provide a discount on shipping costs if you use their returns page to print out a shipping label.
Start the return process by logging into the RockAuto website by using the email, phone number, or order number that you purchased your part with. Navigate to the order status and returns page. Select request a change. You can then report the problem with the part and get the return instructions and shipping label. You can set up your return by following these four simple steps:
Once you've navigated to the order and status page, use the online document or form to thoroughly explain why you are returning the part. This part of the return process comes after you select the option to make a change. Once you've printed your shipping label and mailed your car part, you can periodically track it to ensure the part gets back to RockAuto. You will need to log in to RockAuto and follow the same procedure you used to return your part, however, you should enter the return tracking number instead of requesting a shipping label.
RockAuto allows customers to return car parts, however, the shipping must be paid by the customer. Fortunately, customers receive a discounted shipping rate when they print out the shipping label that RockAuto provides. The customer should always thoroughly explain the reasons for the return and return the part within six months of purchase. This is the only way the customer will get a refund. There may be circumstances where return shipping isn't required but those circumstances will be outlined in the catalog or instructions. Any unanswered questions regarding the return process should be directed to customer service.

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Rockauto in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department.
