How Do I Get a Refund from Sirius/xm?

SiriusXM has long been a premier provider of radio services, but sometimes, you may need to return a radio or accessories. Sirus makes it simple to return devices, but there may be fees for doing so, and you may need to cancel your subscription separately.

SiriusXM sells radios, accessories, and subscriptions to its exclusive radio services. If you need to return your SiriusXM purchase for any reason, just follow the instructions below to get a refund.

SiriusXM Refund Policy

You may return your purchase for any reason within 30 days of making the purchase and get a refund. To qualify for a refund, your returned items must be in like-new condition. Shipping charges will be deducted from your refund.

Making the Return

To make the return and get your refund, you must follow the steps below:

  1. Call SiriusXM at (800) 422-7142.
  2. Ask the representative you speak to give you a return merchandise authorization, or RMA. If your return is not accompanied by an RMA number it will not be processed.
  3. Look in your shipment and locate the prepaid UPS return label.
  4. Put your RMA number on your return shipping label.
  5. Package your return. You must include all of the items that came with the purchase, including all accessories, warranty cards, and manuals. The cost of replacing any missing items will be deducted from your refund. Once the company receives and processes your return, you will be issued a refund. Allow up to 8 weeks for processing. Your refund will be issued to the same account you made the purchase with within 1 or 2 billing cycles of processing.

Alternately, instead of using the UPS label that came with your purchase, you can choose to make the return with a carrier of your own choosing, to avoid having the shipping fees deducted from your refund. If you do, put the following address on the shipping label (along with your RMA number):

Canceling Your Subscription

Returning your SiriusXM radio does not automatically cancel your radio subscription service. You must do that separately. To cancel your subscription, call SiriusXM's customer service number.
