StubHub is an online platform that allows clients to resell and purchase tickets to events. Customers can buy tickets for concerts, sports events, and art and theatre events.
StubHub's official return policy states that if you do not receive your tickets in time for your event, they will attempt to reissue some replacement tickets. If replacement tickets are not available, you are eligible for a refund.
If you received incorrect tickets, the responsibility is on you to inform StubHub in a timely manner. StubHub will require you to send in the incorrect tickets and it will be at their discretion whether they issue you a full refund or offer you StubHub credit for future events.
StubHub will offer refunds for canceled events but not postponed events. However, StubHub is not responsible for partial performances, line-up, time, or venue changes.
If you have recently made a purchase with StubHub and believe you're eligible for a refund, follow the below steps.
Try typing your scenario into the StubHub Help Desk to see if others have been in a similar situation and if they were eligible for a refund. However, even if the Help Forum says you're not eligible, we recommend you still try and see what a customer service representative says.
For all return requests, you will need to contact the StubHub customer support team. You can call into the team and provide your reasoning for your refund request. Make sure to ask clarifying questions such as if you're eligible for a full or partial refund, if you will get credit or a full refund on your original payment method, and how long the refund will take to process. Make sure to ask the customer service agent to send you an email confirming your refund approval. Keep the customer service agent on the line until you have received and reviewed the email.
Click on 'Chat.'
A new window will pop up asking for your first name, email address, zip code, and order number (not required). Under the 'Category,' choose 'I need help with the tickets I purchased.' In the 'How can we help you' text box, include as many details as possible about your situation.
Click on 'Submit.'
Chat with the representative until a refund has been issued.
Make sure to ask clarifying questions such as:
If you're eligible for a full or partial refund
If you will get credit or a full refund on your original payment method
How long the refund will take to process.
Make sure to ask the customer service agent to send you an email confirming your refund approval. Keep the customer service agent on the chat until you have received and reviewed the email.
