If you recently took a ride through the Uber app and weren't completely satisfied with the experience, you can report the problem to Uber. Uber is one of the largest ride-sharing providers and is committed to providing an excellent and safe experience for its clients, every time. Reporting a problem to Uber will help them identify problematic drivers and help them improve their customer experience overall.

Issues with your ride may include one of the below:

  • You were involved in an accident

  • Your driver took a poor route

  • You paid a toll or parking fee for your driver, in cash

  • Your driver didn't match their profile in the app

  • Your driver was rude

  • Your driver drove dangerously

  • Your driver refused to drop you off at your predetermined location

  • Your driver made an unplanned stop

  • Your driver's behavior made you feel unsafe

  • Your driver asked you to pay for the ride or tip, in cash

  • Your driver's vehicle was in poor condition

  • Your driver's vehicle was different than stated in the app

  • Your driver's vehicle had fewer seats than requested

  • Your driver's license plate was different than stated in the app

  • You had an issue with your uberPOOL co-rider

  • Your driver had an animal in the vehicle

  • You were charged more than once for the trip

  • Your fare doesn't reflect the upfront price that you were shown when booking the ride

If any of these issues have occurred, or you've had another problem not listed above, it's best to get help from the Uber Help Desk.

Through Desktop

  1. Go to www.help.uber.com

  2. In the top right corner select 'Sign In.' You will be asked to sign in with your phone number and password, or your Facebook profile. Select 'I'm not a robot' if that step appears under your login information.

  3. On the far left of the screen, select 'For Riders' in the menu.

  4. Under 'Account and Payment Options' select the 'More' button.

  5. On the far left of the screen, select 'Trip Issues and Refunds' at the top of the menu.

  6. You will be redirected to your recent trips page. Select the trip that you had the issue on.

  7. From there, all of the above problems will be listed. Select the option that aligns with your situation and follow the step-by-step directions to report the problem.

  8. Depending on the incident, you may be eligible for a refund for the trip. You will hear from Uber via text or email within a few business days.

Through the App

  1. Go into your Uber app.

  2. If you are not logged in already, you will be prompted to log in with your phone number and password, or with your Facebook account.

  3. In the top left corner of the app, there should be an icon with three straight lines. Tap this icon and select 'Your Trips' from the menu options.

  4. On the new screen, select 'Past' at the top of the screen to view your recent trips.

  5. Select the trip that you want to dispute. Make sure you are selecting the correct trip as many people take Ubers more than once a day.

  6. Select 'Help' and browse the help section for the situation that applies to you. Select that option, and follow the step-by-step instructions to report the problem.

  7. Depending on the incident, you may be eligible for a refund for the trip. You will hear from Uber via text or email within a few business days.

Unfortunately, Uber doesn't have a call center or live chat box function for you to speak to a live customer service representative. You will have to resolve your problem through the app or desktop Help Desk only.
