If you see a charge from UberEats that you believe is incorrect, follow these simple steps:

Incorrectly Charged

If you were expecting an UberEats charge, but the amount charged is incorrect, you can dispute the difference.

  1. Go to this page.

  2. You will be asked to sign into your UberEats account. You can choose to sign in with your email address or mobile number. You will then be asked for your password.

  3. Note that the amount indicated on your order or in the app may not be the amount that is charged to your card. The receipt that was emailed to you should be the final charge that shows up on your credit card. Before starting a dispute, compare the charge to your email receipt.

  4. If you still believe you were incorrectly charged, fill out the form on the page with as many details as possible, including what you believe you should have actually been charged.

  5. Select 'Submit.'

  6. A confirmation will show up that states they have received your message and will be in touch as soon as possible.

  7. You will receive a text when UberEats has responded to your inquiry.

  8. Log back into your account at https://www.ubereats.com/.

  9. In the top right corner, click on your profile and select 'Account.'

  10. On the new screen, the top left corner will have three lines. Click on them and select 'Support Messages.'

  11. Click on your support ticket.

  12. Here you will see the message from UberEats and can work with them on the next steps to get your money back.

Account Has an Unexpected Charge

If you see an unfamiliar charge on your credit card or bank account statement from UberEats, follow these steps:

  1. Confirm that a friend or family member is not using your payment information on their accounts.

  2. As well, confirm you have not linked your account with anyone else's.

  3. Compare the charge to your order history to ensure that you have not forgotten about an order you placed.

  4. An unrecognized charge may be a small authorization hold from UberEats. UberEats uses these charges to ensure payments are valid. These pending charges will never go through and will disappear off of your account in a few business days.
