How Do I Recover My Visa Account?

If you have a Visa account and can no longer log into it, you may need to recover your username and/or password. Keep reading to learn how.

An Important Note

Although famous for its credit cards, Visa is not actually a credit card company; it's a financial services company in the business of facilitating electronic fund transfers via its credit cards. It doesn't issue credit cards directly to customers. Instead, it partners with banks and other financial institutions that offer Visa cards to their customers. Each financial institution that issues Visa credit has its own procedures for recovering lost usernames and passwords. If you need to recover access to an account for the institution that issued your Visa card, you need to follow the procedure for that financial institution.

Recovering Your Username

If you've forgotten the username to your Visa company account, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to the Visa web page.
  2. Go to the login page.
  3. Click the "Forgot User Name" link.
  4. Enter your email address in the text field provided for it.
  5. Click "Continue." An email will be sent to you.
  6. Enter the text you see to prove you're human.
  7. Find the email and open it. Your username will be included in it.

Recovering Your Password

If you've forgotten the password to your Visa company account, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to the Visa web page.
  2. Go to the login page.
  3. Enter your username in the text field provided.
  4. Click "Forgot Password?"
  5. Enter the text you see to prove you're human. A recovery email will be sent to you.
  6. Find the email and open it.
  7. Click on the link in the email.
  8. Answer the security question.
  9. Choose a new password.
  10. Confirm it.
  11. Click "Submit."

Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for Visa Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
