A Yahoo business listing helps to increase leads and sales for your business. This article will take you through the steps on how to update your business listing.
You can follow the guidelines given below to update your business listing on Yahoo or contact their customer support team for more guidance. Here is how you go about it.
The first step in updating your business listing on yahoo is visiting the Yahoo website. Go to local.yahoo.com on your website. Once you are on this page, search for the name of your business.
When you search for the name of your business, a search engine results page (SERP) will appear on your screen. The page will display links for your website but these are not your business listings. On top of the links for your business, there is a menu that is right below the search bar. Tap on the menu and click on "more." Select the "local" option.
When you click "Local" on the steps above, you will be directed to your business listing. You will find a link on your listing that says "Verify Your Listing." When you click on this link, you will be redirected to another page.
To update your Yahoo listing for free, you have to navigate with Yext. Tap on one of the images in the white form at the top of the page to choose the type of business that you have. Fill in your business details in the form and then tap on "Scan My Listings."
Yext will then scan multiple listings and directories and direct you on the ones that you need to update. When Yext suggests listings, it does not mean that Yext controls these listings. You also have an option to update your business listings manually without Yext. Press the blue button that reads "Fix all Errors" at the top of the page.
After you tap on the "fix all errors" button, the next step is to update your business listing. You can do this by filling in a form with your business information. Fill in the information you want to add about your business and click on "continue."
After you tap on "continue" on the step above, Yahoo subscriptions will appear on your screen. However, you can update your business listing without paying by scrolling down the subscription table to claim your Yahoo business update. The link is almost hidden.
When you press the hidden link, the price to update your business listing will change to zero. At this point, fill in the form and scroll to the bottom to complete the process. When you have finished your process, Yahoo will send you a confirmation email to inform you that the process was successful.
If you encounter problems during this process, you can reach the Yahoo customer care team by calling them, live chatting with them, or even sending them an email. Yahoo is also available on Facebook and Twitter.
